Regional Destination Marketing Plan with Foxboro, Plainville & Wrentham

The Towns of Foxboro, Plainville and Wrentham are located within 30 miles of Boston and collectively attract over 20 million visitors each year between each of their well-known and unique attractions. All three of these attractions are location only 7 miles from each other: Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, Plainridge Park Casino and Gillette Stadium. The region also boasts a variety of dining, shopping, recreation and large expanses of State forest land, there's something for everyone. The goal of this Plan is to increase the year-round multi-day business to the region by attracting new visitors, as well as getting existing visitors to explore other businesses and activities in the region.

Rapid Recovery Plan Program

The Town was awarded a Rapid Recovery Plan (RRP) Techincal Assistance Grant through DHCD's Massachusetts Downtown Initiative. The RRP Program is intended to provide the Town the opportunity to develop actionable, project-based recovery plans tailored to the unique economic challenges and COVID-19 related impacts to the downtown. The RRP will include analysis and exploratrion of challenges, barriers, strategies and actions with a focus on developin tactical and strategic project recommendations that will help the Town achieve their recovery goals.

Wrentham 2030: Vision of Tomorrow, Master Plan

Vision of Tomorrow is a town-wide master planning process that will provide the basis for decision-making in the Wrentham for the next 10 years and is intended to ensure those decisions consider both long-term effects of an action and is consistent with an over-all vision created by the community.  What is a Master Plan? 

Massachusetts General Law (MGL), Chapter 41, Section 81D states: "A Planning Board established in any city or town under section 81A shall make a master plan of such city or town or such parts thereof as said board may deem advisible and from time to time extend or perfect such plan."

MGL requires that master plans at a minimum address: Natrual Resources, Economic Development, Infrastructure, Transporatation, Historic & Cultural Resources, Open Space & Recreation, Land Use, Housing, Implementation and based on community needs: Public Health & Social Services, Climate Reciliency and Education.
