Executive Director

Wrentham Housing Authority is seeking qualified applicants for an Executive Director to oversee the daily management and operation of 66 units of State Elderly housing and 15 units of State Family housing. The Executive Director reports to a five-member Board of Directors. The successful candidate must have a minimum of two years’ experience in housing, community development, public administration, or a closely related field and knowledge of the principles and practices of housing management, finances, and maintenance systems in public or private housing. Strong written and verbal communication skills required, along with willingness and ability to work with people of various socio-economic backgrounds. Certification as a Public Housing Manager and/or Massachusetts Public Housing Administrator through a DHCD approved program preferred but must be obtained within twelve months. Applicant subject to CORI verification and must possess a valid driver’s license. The position is a minimum of 25 hours per week. Salary will be determined by the DHCD Executive Director Salary guidelines.

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

We are looking to hire lifeguards at Sweatt Beach for summer! Work with approximately 10-12 lifeguards/instructors to provide beach supervision and swim lesson instruction.

Reports to: Recreation Director and Head Lifeguard

Hours: The beach hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day of the week (weather permitting). Works schedules will vary.

Qualifications:

  • Current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certification required. WSI certification preferred
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Good health and physical stamina
  • Emotionally mature, responsible, and punctual
  • Team player and willing to work hard
  • Ability to take direction from Beach Directors

Water Division Supervisor

The Water Department is seeking a full time, skilled individual to work in the installation, operation and repair of the Town's water distribution system. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 5 (five) years of job related experience. Must possess a D-2 and a T-1 license, a CDL B and 2A hoisting license.

Responsible for directing, assisting and checking subordinates with schedules, methods, standards, rules and regulations, safety precautions among other work related matters. Other duties, but not limited to, include, supervises and works with a construction or maintenance crew, repairs water main breaks, assisting other departments in emergency and snow & ice events. Will be required to be on-call after hours, weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule.

Starting wage is dependent on licenses and experience. This is a Union position.

 Water Technician

The Water Department is seeking a full time Water Technician. Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma and 2 (two) years of job related experience. Must possess a valid CDL B Mass Driver's License. Duties will include, but not limited to, installation, operation and repair of the Town's water distribution D-2 system and treatment T-1 facilities. Operates pumps, motors and related equipment at pumping stations and chlorination facilities. Installs and maintains water mains, hydrants, valves and meters. Will also be assisting other departments in emergency and snow & ice events. Will be required to be on-call after hours, weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule.

Starting wage is dependent on licenses and experience. This is a Union position.

Equipment Operator

 The Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a full-time Equipment Operator for the Highway/Parks Division.

Position consists of performing varied manual and equipment operating duties in the operation, construction and maintenance of the Towns' public roadways, parks and cemeteries. Applicants must have a valid Class B Driver' s License with air brake endorsement and/or a MA Hoisting Engineers License with appropriate endorsements. Pay scale based on qualifications and experience.
