Data Collector

The Town of Wrentham (population approximately 11,400) seeks candidates for the position of Data Collector. The position works directly under the supervision of the Town Assessor. Primary focus is year round field work inspecting properties and updating current records. Assists the Town Assessor in the preparation of RECAP data, tax commitments, specialized studies as well as the enforcement of state assessment laws. Assumes the responsibilities of the Town Assessor in her absence. Other responsibilities include but not limited to overseeing the Cyclical Inspection program, assisting the Town Appraiser in completing abatement and building permit inspections, processing Form of List returns, providing input into the development of property assessments and participating in the overall daily operation of the office

**Qualified candidates for the Data Collector position must complete DOR’s Assessing Course 101. Possess 1-2 years of experience, knowledge of assessment practices and procedures, general understanding and knowledge of Mass. General Laws pertaining to assessing, be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, be able to perform property inspections throughout the year and must have a valid driver’s license. Experience with Vision software a plus but not necessary.

Data Collector position currently pays $18.00/hr. to $23.00/hr with benefits.

The position is a 35 hour work week.

Department Secretary

This is a part-time (25 hrs.) position at the Council on Aging. Salary range $15.99 to $20.79 per hour plus benefits. This position requires a High School diploma and one to three years related experience. Applicants must have excellent customer service skills and exceptional computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Applicants must be detailed oriented and able to work at a busy front desk.

Water Division Supervisor

The Water Department is seeking a full time, skilled individual to work in the installation, operation and repair of the Town's water distribution system. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 5 (five) years of job related experience. Must possess a D-2 and a T-1 license, a CDL B and 2A hoisting license.

Responsible for directing, assisting and checking subordinates with schedules, methods, standards, rules and regulations, safety precautions among other work related matters. Other duties, but not limited to, include, supervises and works with a construction or maintenance crew, repairs water main breaks, assisting other departments in emergency and snow & ice events. Will be required to be on-call after hours, weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule.

Starting wage is dependent on licenses and experience. This is a Union position.

 Water Technician

The Water Department is seeking a full time Water Technician. Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma and 2 (two) years of job related experience. Must possess a valid CDL B Mass Driver's License. Duties will include, but not limited to, installation, operation and repair of the Town's water distribution D-2 system and treatment T-1 facilities. Operates pumps, motors and related equipment at pumping stations and chlorination facilities. Installs and maintains water mains, hydrants, valves and meters. Will also be assisting other departments in emergency and snow & ice events. Will be required to be on-call after hours, weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule.

Starting wage is dependent on licenses and experience. This is a Union position.
