Automated Trash and Recycling Collection
The Town utilizes automated curbside trash and recycling collection. Residents use a blue 96 gallon wheeled cart for recycling and a black 35 gallon wheeled cart for trash.
All trash and recyclables intended for curbside collection must be properly placed in the provided wheeled carts and properly placed curbside by 7 AM.
Trash is collected weekly on your normally scheduled day. Trash intended for collection must be properly placed in the official Town provided black 35 gallon wheeled cart or in the official Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) purple bags. Trash placed in any other manner will not be collected.
Recycling is collected bi-weekly on your currently scheduled collection day. Recycling intended for collection must be properly placed in the official Town provided blue 96 gallon wheeled cart. Additional wheeled recycling carts may be placed for collection. Additional carts must be the Town's official cart or properly labelled as recycling. If it is not an official Town cart, it must be compatible with the automated collection equipment to receive service.
Bulky and hard to manage wastes (TVs, mattresses, refrigerators, ACs, furniture, etc.) are collected by appointment only. Eligible households may utilize this service up to once per month.
