The Highway/ Parks/ Cemetery Division

This department is made up of  8 employees and is headquartered at the DPW building off Taunton St.  Behind the Town Senior Center. Some duties include the following items:

snow plowing & sanding operations, tree work (within town layout), roadside mowing, street sweeping, street sign installation & repair, drainage installation & repair, line painting, crosswalk painting, patching of potholes, all inspections for new developments, mowing & trimming of all town owned properties. This includes the elementary school complex, Library, Public Safety Building, Town Hall, town commons, Sweatt Park, and 3 town owned cemeteries.

This dept is also responsible for the operation of the Center Cemetery. All burials, cremations, headstone installations, perpetual care, sales of lots, leaves, shrub & tree care, sanding & snow plowing operations
