Recycling

Description
The Wrentham Recycling Committee is appointed by the Board of Selectmen on an annual basis to oversee the town's pay-as-you-throw program, the mercury collection program, the rechargeable battery collection program and household hazardous waste day.  Members of the committee also serve on the Southeast Regional Recycling Partnership (SERR) Committee which is a regional recycling group that develops regional recycling programs to serve the Foxboro, Mansfield, North Attleboro, Plainville and Wrentham area.

Household Hazardous Waste Day 2010

Mark your calendar!  This year's HHWD is scheduled for SATURDAY, MAY 22nd.  More details and a list of acceptable items will be posted in the next few weeks.

Thermostat Exchange

Is still available!  Please e-mail us if you would like to exchange your old mercury thermostat for a new digital one!

Used Oil

The DPW can no longer accept used oil.  Most used oil can be returned to the point of purchase if you save your receipt.  Please check with your retailer upon purchase.  Used oil can be turned in during Household Hazardous Waste Day (date to be determined) at no charge.

FREECYCLE

A great way to clear out the clutter!  Post your item with your local Freecycle group and let someone else enjoy it.

Meetings
The next meeting of the Solid Waste & Recycling Committee will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Town Hall at 7PM.
